Build Your Dream Home

Construction Comparison

Stage 1: Base - Pouring your slab

The infill slab design allows a solid slab construction on sloping or highly reactive clay sites. The incorporates external brickwork under and over the slab edge provides an extremely strong and sturdy foundation for the roof area.

vs

Waffle slabs are a reinforced concrete footing and slab system constructed on the ground. It sits about 400mm higher than the surrounding ground. Waffle slabs are not recommended on highly reactive clay sites (Class H1 and H2) because the requirements for good drainage are almost impossible to achieve.

Stage 2: Frame - Erecting the frame

All frames are built from specially selected treated timbers, cut and assembled on site using a maximum stud spacing of 450mm.

vs

Poor quality frame construction.

Stage 3: Lock-up - Getting the home to 'lock-up' (with a roof and walls)
